Friday the 12th is Darwin Day!

Yes, the harbour of the capital city of Australia's Northern Territory was first found by the English on board HMS Beagle on 9 September 1839 ... and named for the naturalist Charles Darwin, who had been on board on previous journies, but not this one ...

And *his* birthday ... was 12 February!

I guess that's almost the right reason, isn't it? :-)
