What product was using Thermodynamics? If it's an air conditioner it's fine, but what Pharmaceutical product could use it? It had better not be a face cream.

Folks I've just returned to Dunedin from 6 years in deepest darkest Wicsonsin USA and you are missing some really fun adverts. I worked in the Pharma industry and I laughed myself silly at the adverts. My favorite of all time is "Using the cutting edge  new science of Thermodynamics.....". Wow Thermodynamics is new?

Or the new vicks cough syrup that takes the best parts of "science and nature" by adding honey to the mixture.

"Next time you see an ad for food or medicine, count the number of
times it uses the words 'nature' or 'natural' and take a shot for
every use. Now look back on it and observe the inverse correlation
between use of the word 'natural' and what the ad actually tries to
tell you about the product."

One of my own shopping rules, born of experience, is to avoid any
product that makes a big deal about being green.  Double that if it
has a picture of a dolphin on the label.  Especially household
cleaners.  They are shite, made for guilt ridden souls expiating their
carbon sins by the use of elbow grease applied with self-loathing by
mortified hands.  Truth is, people who are prepared to work that hard
could clean to a sparkle with homeopathic oven cleaner.
